Ivye Owensby,

M.A. Marriage and Family Therapy

Feel isolated and misunderstood?

As humans, interpersonal and intrapersonal connections are vital to our well-being. Feeling alone and as though no one understands you isn’t a life sentence. We can work together to help you holistically reconnect with yourself and others.

My rate is $165 for individuals, and $175 for couples and family sessions. I accept both HSA and all major credit cards as valid forms of payment.

Feel like you just can’t communicate? Finding that you keep having the same argument over and over without resolution?

I specialize in working with couples whose conflict may have resulted from resentment, infidelity, and stagnant or poor sex — and yes, bad or no sex can bring a relationship down fast! As a Gottman-trained therapist, I use Emotionally Focused techniques to help couples identify and work through core issues to restore friendship and have a healthier, more connected relationship.

 Resolve Conflicts, Restore Connection

I use a Family Systems-based approach to counseling couples, families, and individuals, which helps change negative relationship patterns and belief systems. I provide a safe space to share your deepest feelings free from the fear of rejection; My goal is to meet your disclosures with compassion, empathy, and respect while helping you be more compassionate toward yourself.

Together, we’ll work to help you unpack beliefs and behaviors that may be the result of depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, co-parenting, divorce, body image issues, parenting, self-esteem struggles, racial identity, spirituality, and workplace concerns.

I’m here to help.

My credentials include an M.A. in Marriage and Family Therapy and currently working under supervision toward LMFT.

I am committed to continuous training to provide a dynamic, integrative, and holistic approach to mental health.

Sessions include evaluating, diagnosing, and treating emotional and mental problems and conditions, resolving intrapersonal and interpersonal conflicts, and changing perception, attitudes and behavior.

I’m trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Reality Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness Therapy.
