Aimee Copeland Mercier, LCSW, MA, CHt, CCTP, RYT

Executive Director

Traditional talk therapy doesn’t work best for everyone.

That’s why I draw on ancient practices, Eastern medicine, and evidence-based research to awaken your innate healing potential.

I’m a certified clinical hypnotherapist (C.Ht), certified clinical trauma provider (CCTP), and Yoga Alliance registered yoga teacher (RYT-200). Our work together will pull from a variety of modalities including mindfulness, hypnotherapy, ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, IFS, EMDR, somatic psychotherapy, NLP, and DBT.

During our lives, we experience many joys and hardships that inspire within us the full range of human emotions. Each moment and feeling is an opportunity to better understand ourselves, each other, and the world.

Your painful feelings may be signals that old wounds need to be attended to, or that your truth is not being lived fully.

  • Therapy is useful for everyone, whether you are struggling to cope with general life stressors or want to work on becoming your best self.

  • I work with adults and couples impacted by childhood trauma, intrusive thoughts, depression, anxiety and panic, relationship issues, identity confusion, low self-esteem, and grief/loss.

  • If you are struggling to cope with life challenges, are feeling unfulfilled, or want to seek personal growth, the therapeutic relationship provides an open and nonjudgmental atmosphere to explore the body and mind in a safe, comfortable space.

  • I currently offer services through my primary practice, Asheville Center for Inner Healing, including virtual psychotherapy sessions. Click here to learn more.
